I really enjoyed the battle between the protagonists and Rasputin: aside from the brilliant mention of the “cake” and dirty jokes, the dance-like choreography combined with usage of extensive amount of sword combat multiplies the intensity. However, I feel like the movie doesn’t integrate Conrad with his father’s conflict with the main storyline of demolishing evil organization. The main focus is constantly being shifted between the cost of war, a boy’s naive inspiration, and the antagonist’s shallow motivation.
